I am so glad that our paths crossed. I met Ivan through a wonderful organization named Shake-A-Leg Miami, www.shakealegmiami.org, where we were both volunteer sailing instructors. Ivan is not only a truthful guy but also a bedrock kind of guy.
Later on I learned he flew the A-10 Warthog Close Air Support plane in the USAF, and he was an Instructor Pilot on the airplane. Although Ivan was already an airline pilot during the 91 Iraqi War, he volunteered to rejoin the USAF Reserves and worked at a Command Post during the war. His unselfish dedication to his Country, to his Community, and to his family and friends is truly inspiring, and a hallmark of every endeavor he’s involved in.
